What to Expect

As a client or even visitor of the Omemee Veterinary Hospital, you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs.  Our service will be provided with courtesy and respect.

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we will usher you into an examination room as soon as we have one available.  Our goal is to see all of our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.

You will start by seeing a Registered Veterinary Technician. During a wellness exam, they will take a thorough history, discuss nutrition, vaccine status, early-detection blood work and gather some helpful information for the veterinarian.  A veterinarian will see you next, examine your pet, answer any of your questions and perform wellness vaccines (if needed). If your pet is seeing us for an illness or injury, you will again see a technician first where they will gather appropriate history. The veterinarian then will come in to complete a full physical exam and discuss appropriate diagnostic and other treatments that may be necessary. All appointments are wrapped up with a technician answering any final questions you may have and providing you with additional educational information that you may need.
